This is a great cookware set by T-fal, with its 13-piece package taking care of any and all cooking needs that one might have in a home kitchen.
Construction: This 13-piece glass cooktop-compatible set is chiefly made of 18/10 stainless steel, but is reinforced by aluminum and copper as well. The set contains 3 frying pans, 3 saucepans, a dutch oven, and a steamer. All three of the saucepans, the dutch oven, and the biggest of the three frying pans come with lids, which brings the total lid count to 5. The lids are all made of tempered glass and are provided with a vent as well. All the pans are equipped with long, stainless steel handles except for the dutch oven, which has the standard two-handled construction.
Function: The heavy construction of this set has an interior of stainless steel which means you don’t have to worry if any harmful chemicals are leaching out into your food from the non-stick coating as it’s totally absent. This construction also makes for the best dutch oven for glass top stove.
The exterior lining is also stainless steel, but the construction of the pans also contains aluminum and copper. The copper, in particular, is exposed at the bottom of the pans to encourage faster heating while the triple-metal build helps in a uniform and quick heating. Also, the pans are quite heavy owing to all the metal in them so they work really well on cooktops like glass or induction.
The clear glass lids mean you can always keep an eye on the food without having to remove them time and again and exposing yourself to the ensuing steam. Also, the vents in the lids prevent any boiling-over and also prevent steam build-up. The handles of the pots and pans are very ergonomic, and their metallic construction makes the set oven-safe up to 500 F as well.
Cleaning and maintenance: The entire set is dishwasher safe, owing largely to its stainless steel construction. This makes clean-up really easy, especially if you are someone who absolutely hates cleaning up after a delicious meal (who isn’t?). If you’d like to avoid putting the pans in the appliance, however, you can minimize the cleaning effort on your part by adding a bit of oil to the pan while cooking to ensure nothing sticks to the surface. This way, you won’t have to make your cookware undergo a lot of scrubbing that might end up damaging the shiny silver surface over time.
